Podcast 49: Flash Dastardly Death of the Rogues by Geoff Johns and Francis Manapul (Jan. 26th, 2012)
Before he started writing the Flash, Francis Manapul was working as artist for Geoff Johns' run on the book. Amy and Tyler take a look at this trade paperback collecting the title's Brightest Day tie-in issues. There are loads of easter eggs hidden in Manapul's art and we have a lot of fun finding them, along with the secret hints to Flashpoint!

Amy and Teresa discuss their mutual love of this beautifully rendered historical romance set on the silk road. Mori was the creator of the Victorian romance series Emma and has an amazing eye for detail when it comes to her art. Brides Story is her newest series about a young woman who is wed to a boy 12 years younger in an arranged marriage. It is a sweet story and absolutely amazing art wise. Music by Josh Murphy

Teresa has finally talked Amy into reading one of her all time favorite miniseries about a young boy who hunts dragons during the Great Depression. This series was short, but fantastic and even though it has the king of all cliffhangers we highly recommend it to all fantasy fans! Music by Josh Murphy

Extra special podcast as Calum makes his second appearance behind the mic! Jer, Calum and Amy discuss Chester Brown's much anticipated book Paying For It from Drawn and Quarterly. Calum and Amy highly recommend this interesting book, but it's subject matter makes it a book for mature readers only. This book is a memoir of Brown's use of escorts, it is a very interesting and honest read with one of the most interesting appendices Amy has read in a graphic novel.
